Central Railway GM Dharam Veer Meena Felicitates 11 Divyangjan Employees With Role Model Awards At CSMT, Distributes Assistive Equipment

Mumbai: Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway felicitated 11 Divyangjan Railway Employees with Role Model Awards as part of “Special Day for Divyangjan" at a function was organised by the Personnel Department of Central Railway under the aegis of Central Staff Benefit Fund (CSBF) at CSMT auditorium on 26th March 2025.

The awards were presented to Divyangjans for rendering outstanding services in spite of their disabilities and setting an example for others to follow. Meena, General Manager & Chief Guest of the function also presented various Divyang friendly equipments to 7 Divyangjan Railway Employees including Laptops (with special user friendly software) to 4 employees, 1 Smartphone, 1 pair of Smart AI Glasses and 1 Walking Stick each to the remaining 3 employees.

The General Manager also presented an Ankle & Foot Orthoses and a Static Bicycle to 2 Divangjan wards of Railway Employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Meena said that Central Railway has a work force of 1253 Divyangjan employees and all possible steps are being taken to empower them by providing the necessary tools to enhance their capabilities and ease their daily activities including provision of special facilities in their place of work.

Earlier Meena gave an auspicious start to the function in the traditional way by lighting the lamp. P P Pandey, Principal Chief Personnel Officer & Chairman, CSBF welcomed the Dignitaries with plant saplings and presented the Welcome speech.

The event concluded with words of encouragement from senior officials and a renewed commitment from Central Railway to continue its initiatives towards the well-being of Divyangjan employees and their families.

Pratik Goswami, Additional General Manager, Other Principal Head of Departments, Officers and Staff of Central Railway were also present at the function.
