Bomb Scare On Jaipur-Mumbai IndiGo Flight Turns Out To Be Hoax; FIR Registered

The Airport Police on Tuesday registered an FIR against an unidentified person for allegedly issuing a bomb threat to passengers. On Monday, a note was discovered on board IndiGo flight 6E-5324, travelling from Jaipur to Mumbai, which read: “Open it... Surprise, a bomb is waiting for you, not a joke.” The threat turned out to be false, and police are currently investigating the matter.
According to the FIR, on April 7 at 7.05pm, IndiGo flight departed from Jaipur and was expected to arrive at Mumbai International Airport after approximately one and a half hours. During the flight, air hostess Bhumika Joshi, 19, noticed a letter placed on the galley table. Upon opening it, she found the message. The crew then examined the passengers’ bags and other belongings but found nothing suspicious.

The pilot informed air traffic control, and the aircraft safely landed at Mumbai International Airport’s Terminal 1 at 8.50pm. After landing, the bomb detection squad and other security agencies searched the aircraft after the passengers had disembarked, but no explosives were found. The airport administration had also issued a statement about it.
