The Thane Traffic Police have issued a notification regarding traffic movements on Majiwada Bridge, which will be affected due to scheduled road repair work from May 3 to May 22, 2025, according to officials. The route from Majiwada Flyover to Kapurbawadi and Jupiter Y Junction will be closed for travel between 11 PM and 5 AM during this period.
Traffic police stated that the surface of the Majiwada Bridge on the Ghodbunder-Mumbai road U-turn to Jupiter Y Junction was damaged, necessitating the complete closure of the route for bridge repairs. The Majiwada Flyover is a crucial route for vehicles traveling between Thane and Mumbai.
Access for all vehicles traveling on the Majiwada Bridge from Ghodbunder-Mumbai to Nashik and Mumbai will be prohibited due to repair work on the Kapurbawadi Bridge. As an alternative, vehicles can travel via the Kapurbawadi road to reach their destination.
Additionally, access for all vehicles traveling from Bhiwandi-Mumbai road via the Balkumbh Bridge to Nashik and Mumbai will be closed. As an alternative, vehicles can take the Kapurbawadi road to reach their destinations.

The traffic police have clarified that these traffic restrictions will not apply to essential services, such as fire brigade vehicles, police vehicles, ambulances, green corridors, oxygen gas carriers, and vehicles transporting essential commodities.
They emphasized that these measures are necessary to ensure smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow for the convenience of the public and to avoid congestion in the affected area.
