Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who was protesting for the pellet gun victim during a protest sit-in in the national capital, recently grabbed attention after enjoying a meal at Khan Chacha, a popular food joint in Delhi, with a young man who was injured by a pellet gun during protests linked to the NEET issue. The meeting took place at Sansad Marg and quickly became a talking point on social media.

Among the food items Rahul Gandhi enjoyed was the famous Khan Chacha roll, which is often referred to as a Delhi-style frankie. Known for its melt-in-the-mouth mutton and chicken seekh, kakori, and tikka rolls wrapped in soft, paper-thin rumali rotis and slathered with a signature mint-green chutney. Its juicy kebab fillings, soft rumali roti and flavourful sauces, the roll has become one of the most recognisable street-food options associated with Delhi.

Why Rahul Gandhi is protesting?

On Friday, Leader of Opposition staged a sit-in outside the Parliament Street Police Station along with the victim of the reported use of pellet guns on the July 20 protests. Gandhi has demanded the registration of a case over the use of pellet guns.

On being calling himself representative of youths, Gandhi visited the police station to support the victim named Sahil Lochab, in his demand to register an FIR into the pellet gun firing issue. As cops refused to file an FIR, he, along with the pellet gun victim, sat on dharna outside the police station.

Lochab suffered injuries to the eyes and abdomen during the CJP protest on July 20 at Jantar Mantar during the NEET protest.
