Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): After a gap of two years, the adorable Shri Mahakaleshwar of Ujjain will go out on a sawari to visit the traditional path during Shrawan-Bhadav month. On Monday, the administrative officials inspected the ride route from Shri Mahakaleshwar temple to see the arrangements. Wherever lack of arrangements was visible, instructions were given to rectify them. During the pandemic period, for the last two years, the rides were taken from the shorter route.

The inspection began from the shehnai gate outside Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. Due to expansion work, the place is rough. In such a situation, the officials of Ujjain Development Authority (UDA) were asked to build a ramp in a week to bring the palanquin outside. Instructions were given to fill nearby pits and cover unsafe areas with tin sheets.

The officers completed the inspection on foot from Gudri Square, Pandariba, Ramanujkot, Ramghat, Dhaba Road, Gopal Mandir and Patni Bazaar to Gudri intersection. Instructions were given to put systematic barricades at Gudri Square, Harsiddhi Pal, Ramghat, Gopal Mandir and to make arrangements for barricades on the entire sawari route. They also asked not to allow visitors to go to kutcha houses on the road and cover electric poles with sheets and remove unnecessary wires.

Before the ride, instructions were given to Ujjain Municipal Commissioner Anshul Gupta for cleaning the entire route, and sprinkling water when it was hot. Collector Asheesh Singh said that instructions have been issued regarding the arrangements. SP Satyendra Kumar Shukla, ADM Santosh Tagore, ASP Indrajeet Badhwar and Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee administrator Gopal Dhakad were also present.
