According to police, the incident occurred when two youths, identified as Abhishek and Rajesh from Balda Colony, arrived at Ravidaspura during a religious programme on a motorcycle and repeatedly honked their horn.
Women participating in the bhajan and dance event asked them to stop, which led to an argument. The duo allegedly abused people standing there and left. Later, they returned with two others—Tushar and Harsh—and attacked the group with sharp objects.
Manthan and Sangram sustained injuries in the attack. Based on their complaint, police registered a case of attempted murder against the four accused, who were subsequently arrested.
