Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two miscreants were arrested for snatching gold chain of a woman by pretending to ask for directions on Wednesday in Indore.
The police have arrested two person in connection with this recent heist involving Shraddha Jain in the Tukoganj area of Indore on March 21.
According to information, the accused are arrested after their confession to multiple criminal incidents in the city, including robberies in Lasudiya and Hiranagar.
This is how the crime was unfolded
Accused identified as Abhishek and Yogesh, both residents of Banganga, were involved in this incident which took place near the Rani Sati Gate when the suspects approached her and her brother, Prakhar, under the pretext of asking for directions.
The accused then snatched Shraddha’s chain and fled the scene. During her statement to the police, Shraddha mentioned a key detail that helped officers identify the robbers one of the men had a Mahadev tattoo on his hand. This lead proved instrumental in tracing the suspects, who were subsequently arrested.
Accused confessed to other crimes
During further investigation, the accused confessed to snatching a chain from Meenal Bhalerao, who was on her way to Scheme No. 78 when the robbery occurred. So far, the police have linked the accused to at least three robbery incidents.
Accused have a long history of crime
In addition to the recent crimes, both Abhishek and Yogesh have a long criminal history, with over a dozen cases of robbery and theft registered against them. The police have confirmed that they are continuing their investigation and are expected to reveal further details about the suspects’ criminal activities in the coming days.
