Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Supreme Court’s Road Safety Committee Chairman and former Supreme Court Judge Justice Abhay Manohar Sapre instructed officials to speed-up improvement work of black spots in the city. He also directed to complete under construction over bridges on the bypass soon.
Justice Sapre held a meeting with officials and inspected the black spots of the city. Justice Sapre began his tour from Tejaji Nagar’s black spots. Here he took information about accidents, its causes and number of deaths, etc. He directed to remove encroachments here. He said that the work of eliminating black spots here should be completed quickly.
After this, he reached to inspect the black spot near the under construction over bridge in front of Ralamandal and Best Price. He instructed to complete the construction of both the bridges soon. He issued orders to improve the service road. ‘The construction of roads should be evaluated. Action should be taken against concerned contractors if negligence is found. Delay and any kind of negligence in construction work should not be tolerated’, he said.
After this, he saw the black spot in front of Hotel Grand Sheraton and instructed for its necessary improvement. DCP Traffic Arvind Tiwari, ADM Roshan Rai along with officials of related departments including NHAI, PWD, MPRDC and IMC were present on this occasion.
