Ruckus After Infant’s Death 10 Minutes After Birth In Madhya Pradesh's Dhar; Family Alleged Medical Negligence

Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): A ruckus broke out at Dhar District Hospital on Thursday following the death of a newborn within minutes of birth, with family members alleging medical negligence.

Happiness turns into mourning

Radha, wife of Radheshyam from Lohani village near Manawar, was admitted to hospital for delivery. The baby boy was born around 2:30 pm but died within 10 minutes.

Family member Sohan Dabar alleged medical negligence, saying, "They are not telling clearly whether the baby was dead at birth or died later.

The family accused duty doctor Dr Pooja Devda and hospital management of negligence. "She already had two girls, and this was a boy. There was happiness in the house, but within 10 minutes, happiness turned into mourning," Dabar said.

The hospital administration has not yet responded to the allegations. The family is demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances. Local police assured prompt and detailed investigation into the matter.
