MPPSC Releases Syllabus For State Engineering Services & Food Safety Officer Exams 2024
These exams with a focus on history, geography, economy, politics and culture in the General Studies section will fill vacant posts in various departments.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the syllabus for the upcoming State Engineering Services Examination-2024 and Food Safety Officer Examination-2024. These exams with a focus on history, geography, economy, politics and culture in the General Studies section will fill vacant posts in various departments.
The Food Safety Officer Exam will consist of two sections. While General Studies is part of Section A, Section B will be of Food Science Technology (including Food Science, Food Microbiology Food and Nutrition and Indian Farming System). Likewise, State Engineering Services Examination will also have two sections. General Studies is part of Section A whereas Section B will be of engineering subjects (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering). Both exams will have 150 questions carrying 450 marks, with a total duration of three hours.

Application process and exam dates
The application process will begin on March 14 and continue until April 13. While the exam dates are yet to be announced, the Food Safety Officer Exam is expected to be held in June 2024. The State Engineering Services Examination 2024 will be conducted after a gap of two years. Through this exam, vacancies will be filled in departments including Panchayat and Rural Development, Water Resources, Tribal Welfare and Public Health Engineering.
Food Safety Officer exam returns after 17 years
For the first time since 2008, MPPSC is conducting an examination for the Food Safety Officer (FSO) positions, filling 120 vacancies across various categories. After candidate objections in previous exams, MPPSC has now decided to conduct the Section B paper in Hindi as well as English.

Eligibility criteria for Food Safety Officer exam
Candidates must have studied Chemistry in every year of their degree. MBBS graduates are also eligible, but candidates with Pharmacy, BAMS, or BHMS degrees are not. With the syllabus now available, aspirants can start their preparation for these competitive exams, ensuring they meet the eligibility criteria and application deadlines.
