Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): A mother in Dhar shot her 18-year-old son dead on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place in Bagh police station area. The mother, Idibai, had been living at her maternal home for three years after separating from her husband, Karan Singh.
The deceased son identified as Ikesh Choungad came to take his mother back home after convincing her. However, he found her in a field with a man from their village, Diwan Singh.
This led to an argument between them. In anger, Idibai took a country-made pistol from Diwan Singh and fired at her son. The bullets hit Ikesh in the chest, killing him instantly.
Woman threatens other relatives
After the shooting, Idibai also threatened to harm the relatives who came with Ikesh, making them flee the area. Ikesh was from Bhorkundiya village in Ranapur police station area, Jhabua.
The relatives informed Ikesh’s father about the incident. When his family arrived, they found Ikesh’s body there. A case was registered and further investigation is underway, said police.
