Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has returned from a high-stakes tour of Dubai and Spain, bringing back investment proposals worth a staggering Rs 11,119 crore that promise to generate 14,208 jobs in Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking to reporters at the State Hanger in Bhopal on Sunday evening, Yadav detailed the outcome of his overseas business push, which ran from July 13 to 19.

During the Dubai leg of the visit, Yadav secured proposals totalling Rs 6,801 crore. Major players included BNW Developers, which offered to invest Rs 2,750 crore, and Conares Metal, which pledged Rs 640 crore. Span Communications and Alpha Mia came forward with proposals of Rs 500 crore each, while the Indore International Business Network submitted an offer of Rs 1,100 crore.

In all, the CM held meetings with representatives of 30 companies in Dubai. Key areas of interest included a Net Zero AI Data Centre, defence production and hospitality projects. Emirates Airlines showed keen interest in launching aviation training in the state and expressed willingness to operate a Bhopal Indore flight, subject to approval from Indian aviation authorities. Meanwhile, Tata Sons proposed launching a direct Indore Dubai flight, and the Lulu Group expressed its intent to set up a food processing hub in the state.

The Spain visit also proved fruitful, with investment proposals worth Rs 4,318 crore flowing in. A major highlight was the signing of an MoU with Submer Technologies to establish an AI Ready Green Data Center valued at over Rs 4,318 crore. Yadav met 22 international companies in Madrid on July 16 and Barcelona on July 18, where he pitched the state s potential across multiple sectors.

Among the fresh proposals, NatueBio Food offered Rs 200 crore and Roca Group came forward with Rs 50 crore. Both Roca Group and Submer expressed interest in textiles, design, and smart manufacturing. A Dubai-based investor named Dinesh proposed investing Rs 250 crore to establish a defence manufacturing unit, while the Lulu Group signalled its interest in building a logistics network to handle fruits, pulses, and spices.

Cultural ties, global pull

Calling Dubai a mini world, Yadav said that 42 lakh Indians live there, a number unmatched by any other community. He drew cultural parallels between Spain and India, and lauded the role of the ISKCON temple in Dubai, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi, in bringing together not just the Indian diaspora but also people from across the globe interested in Indian culture.

BJP rolls out red carpet

The CM s return to Bhopal saw a celebratory welcome from BJP ranks. Minister Vishvas Sarang, MP Alok Sharma, MLA Rameshwar Sharma and a large number of party workers were present to greet him at the airport, turning the moment into a show of party strength and enthusiasm.
