Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Municipal Corporation organised a “tea party” to appreciate and motivate the staff working at the historic Bakshi Bagh stepwell in Ward No 57. The event was part of the ongoing Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan, an initiative focused on water conservation and the restoration of traditional water sources.
The restoration work at Bakshi Bagh stepwell has been underway for the past two months. Recognising the dedication of workers involved in this challenging task, the tea party was organised as a gesture of gratitude and encouragement.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the entire team. The chief guest, water works in-charge Abhishek Bablu Sharma, commended the workers for their hard work, commitment and discipline despite adverse conditions. He remarked that such ground-level workers are the backbone of all development efforts and it is vital to boost their morale from time to time.
Additional municipal commissioner Rohit Sisonia was also present at the event, where he offered guidance to the entire team. He appealed for maintaining quality standards, meeting project deadlines and remaining vigilant about the long-term conservation of water sources. Other dignitaries in attendance included executive engineer Vivesh Jain, Zone 3 zonal officer Raj Thakur and other municipal officials and employees.
