Indore: Second Phase Of Dastak Abhiyan From February 18
Reassessment of kids found anaemic in last phase & Vitamin A tabs to be distributed.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The second phase of Dastak Abhiyan, aimed at improving child health and nutrition, will start from February 18. Preparations for the campaign are underway, with support from the health, women and child development departments, along with other related agencies.
Under this phase, children between the age of 9 months and 5 years will receive vitamin A supplements to boost their immunity. Additionally, children aged 6 months to 5 years, identified as anaemic during the first phase, will undergo blood tests using digital hemoglobinometer.
Their anaemia levels will be reassessed and necessary treatment will be provided. ANMs, ASHAs, and Anganwadi workers will conduct door-to-door visits to ensure children receive the required health services.
Officials have been instructed to prepare a detailed list of children and ensure all targeted beneficiaries receive the prescribed treatment. According to district immunization officer Dr Tarun Gupta, a micro action plan will be made in coordination with relevant departments to ensure the campaign’s success.
“Anaemic children will be provided iron supplements with regular follow-ups. The campaign aims to improve child health, reduce malnutrition and lower child mortality rates by providing essential nutrition and medical support,” Dr Gupta added.
