Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Under the campaign "Nashe Se Doori, Hai Zaroori”, a marathon titled "Run for Awareness, Run for Life" was organised by the Indore Police from Nehru Stadium under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Santosh Kumar Singh on Sunday.
The run was organised in two categories held during the event, a 5 km run (Nehru Stadium to Holkar College and back) and a 10 km run (Nehru Stadium to Rajiv Gandhi Statue and back).
More than 2,300 Indorians participated in the marathon showing strong support for the message that staying away from drugs is essential.
Before the run, additional commissioners Amit Singh and Manoj Kumar Shrivastav along with other officials administered an oath to all participants to stay away from drugs.
The event was also attended by senior officers including DCP (Zone-3) Hansraj Singh, DCP (crime) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, DCP (Headquarters) Prakash Parihar, additional DCP Ramsnehi Mishra, additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma, and additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya as well as ACPs, station in-charges, and other officers. After the run, all participants were awarded certificates by additional DCP Dandotiya.
