Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Reviewing the progress of the economic corridor coming up between the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport and the Pithampur Industrial area, Collector Asheesh Singh on Thursday instructed concerned officials to speed up land acquisition by taking consent from landholders.
MPIDC Executive Director Himanshu Prajapati and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
Currently, the work of taking consent from landholders for the development of the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor has been completed in most villages. The same will be completed in another two to three villages this week.
It is noteworthy that land holders will be given land in the same village in which the consent is made.
The meeting discussed that special camps will be organised in Sonwai, Bheslai, and Nanod villages this week. Officers of departments such as district administration, revenue, and MPIDC will be present in the camp. Collector Singh called for direct communication with the villagers. “Remove confusion and get consent letters from as many landholders as possible,” he said.
Efforts should be made to complete all the work within the stipulated time frame, he directed. Collector Singh said that all the departments should work in coordination.
