Indore: MY Hospital's New OT To Cater To Dental Surgeries; ₹10 Lakh Sanctioned For Infrastructure Upgrades

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): One of the newly built operation theaters (OTs) at MY Hospital (MYH) will now be used for dental surgeries. The decision was made during the executive council meeting of the Government Dental College, attended online by Tarun Rathi, commissioner of Public Health and Medical Education. During the meeting, Principal-in-charge Dr Alka Gupta highlighted the need for an OT for dental procedures, which was approved based on the Commissioner’s instructions.
Additionally, Rs 10 lakh was sanctioned for improving OPD and student seating arrangements, while a proposal for an additional Rs 25 lakh will be sent to the government. Plans for equipment purchases in various departments were also approved. The meeting, attended by MGM Medical College Dean Dr VP Pandey, Additional Collector Jyoti Sharma, and other senior officials.

Renovating the old building of the dental college.
Increasing hostel seats and new staff appointments to improve cleanliness and security.
Seeking approval for new posts as per Indian Dental Council norms.
Sending a Rs 46.50 lakh proposal to the government for OPD arrangements.
