Indore: Man Electrocuted While Installing Window At School |
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A worker was electrocuted while installing a window at a school in Nageen Nagar under Aerodrome police station limits on Tuesday.
According to police, deceased was identified as Sanjay Kakarwal, a resident of Raj Nagar. His nephew Shubham, who sustained minor injuries in the incident, was with him.
Shubham said that they were working at MBS School, where they had gone to install aluminium windows. While working on the second floor, the window accidentally came into contact with a nearby high-tension power line. As a result, Sanjay received a severe electric shock and collapsed. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Recounting the incident, Shubham said that he and his uncle had held the window frame to install it when it accidentally touched the overhead power line. Shubham felt a shock and immediately let go of the window and was saved. However, Sanjay, trying to prevent the window from falling, held on and received a severe electric shock, leading to his death.
Shubham further said that Sanjay had been working in aluminium fabrication for several years and is survived by his wife, parents and elder brother.
The police launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
