Indore: IT Engineer Killed, Female Friend Hurt After Car Rams Into Electric Pole

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): An IT engineer was killed while his female friend got injured after their car rammed into an electric pole in the Kanadiya area late on Thursday. The engineer was driving to the friend’s place to drop her after dinner when the accident happened.

According to the police, the incident took place near Bhandari Resort around 2 am. The deceased has been identified as Pranay Talreja, 28 years, a resident of SP Villas near Bypass Road. He along with his friends had gone for dinner.

While returning from there, he was going to drop his friend Khushi to her place when he lost steering control and the car rammed into an electric pole injuring Pranay critically. Khushi also received injuries in the accident. Pranay was taken to the hospital where he died during treatment.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portion of the car was badly damaged. According to Additional DCP (Zone-2) Amarendra Singh, preliminary investigation revealed that the car rammed into a pole and the vehicle was not hit by any vehicle.

However, the investigation is on into the case and the statement of Khushi is being recorded to know the exact circumstances under which the accident happened. Her condition is stated to be out of danger. Police said that Pranay was an IT engineer with a company. His father is a businessman in the city.
