Indore: Collector Directs Strict Monitoring Of Revenue Cases, Warns Officers Against Negligence

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Collector Asheesh Singh has directed all revenue officers (ROs) to compulsorily register revenue cases in the Revenue Case Management System (RCMS) portal. If it was found that any case was not registered, action would be taken against the officer concerned, he warned, adding that revenue cases should be resolved within the time limit. No case should remain pending without reason.

All officers should resolve revenue cases within the stipulated time frame. “Do not show any negligence and indifference in duty as this will not be tolerated and action will be taken against the officers concerned,” he said.

Additional collectors Gaurav Benal, Jyoti Sharma, Roshan Rai, Rajendra Raghuvanshi, Nisha Damor, CEO of District Panchayat Siddharth Jain and other officers were present in the meeting, apart from all ROs, including SDMs, tehsildars and naib tehsildars. Collector Singh reviewed the officer-wise progress of resolution of disputed and undisputed name transfer and pending cases of partition and demarcation. He directed that a system should be ensured so that the applicants did not face any trouble.
Their work should be done easily and transparently. He directed that a system should be devised so that the Patwari should be present in a certain Panchayat on prescribed days of the week. All additional collectors should actively monitor the work of their subordinate officers and inspect the subordinate courts, Singh said. He also directed that special attention should be paid to revenue collection.
