Indore-Betul National Highway Accident: Driver Dead, 45 Passengers Injured After Two Buses Collide At Kalwar Ghat

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Driver died while 45 passengers were injured in a tragic bus accident at Indore-Betul National Highway. The accident happened on Tuesday afternoon after a chartered bus collided with another passenger at Kalwar Ghat, which is considered a danger zone for road accidents, on the Indore-Betul National Highway.
Some passing-by vehicles were also were also damaged after they failed to control the speed on time and rammed into the collided buses.
The injured were rushed to the government hospital in Kannaud. After examination, the doctor declared one of them dead, who is said to be the driver of the chartered bus, Kamlesh, a resident of Khategaon.

Apart from this, the seriously injured passengers are being referred to Indore after first aid. Most of the passengers have suffered minor injuries, some of whom were discharged after first aid.
After receiving information about the major accident, regional MLA Ashish Sharma reached the government hospital of Kannaud and enquired about the condition of the injured and saw the treatment arrangements.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police Kannaud Saumya Jain, the death of one person has been confirmed. Four to five are seriously injured who are being referred. Apart from this, 17 to 18 other passengers are undergoing treatment in the hospital of Kannaud.
Efforts are being made to find out the cause of the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the place where the accident happened is connected to the ghat and there is a dangerous turn there.
According to the passengers, the chartered bus was going from Harda to Indore while the other passenger bus was coming from Indore. There was a strong head-on collision between the two buses at the turn. Most of the injured passengers are from Dewas, Indore, Harda and other districts.
