Indore: Altercation Over Sister's Affair Leads To Stabbing Of Three Near Astha Talkies; One Arrested, Other On The Run

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A youth and his accomplice stabbed three persons following an altercation near Astha Talkies on Patnipura Road around 10:30 pm on Friday. The accused and his family had come for a discussion over his sister's affair with a person.
MIG police station in-charge CB Singh said that accused Lavish Barod of Juni Indore along with his accomplice stabbed three following an argument over his sister’s affair with one of the victim’s cousin. The police arrested Lavish while his accomplice Akash alias Yash is still on the run.

According to the police, one Kamal Verma, a resident of Nanda Nagar told police that he was standing at the gate of St Joseph Church along with Umesh Verma, Mukesh Verma, Piyush Verma, Jai Thakur and Sonu Rawat. A girl, who was a friend of Piyush's cousin Hitesh aka Chintu, had come with her family members for a discussion. During the discussion, her brother Lavish took out a knife and stabbed Piyush in his waist.
When Sonu Rawat and Jai Thakur came to intervene, Lavish stabbed Jai Thakur in the thigh and his accomplice Akash stabbed Sonu in his hand and chest, resulting in severe injuries to all three and blood started oozing from their wounds. They were taken to hospital. The police registered a case against the accused for attempted murder under sections 109, 3(5) of the BNS.
