Blackmailed By Woman, Indore Cop Hangs Self At His Govt Quarter

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A head constable hanged himself to death in his government quarters in Indore on Wednesday.

Reportedly, a woman was constantly blackmailing him.

According to information, he took the extreme step after returning from duty. His family was away in Haryana at the time of the incident.

Police officials said the man had been under mental stress and was being blackmailed by a woman who threatened to trap him in a false case if he didn’t pay her money.

He had already given her a large amount, but she kept demanding more.

After the incident, police found evidence in his mobile phone pointing to the woman’s involvement. The woman, who lives in the Kanadia area, was taken into custody on Wednesday night and brought to the MIG police station for questioning.

Officials are considering filing a case against her.

Senior officers and forensic teams reached the spot shortly after being informed.

The constable had been serving in the police department for around 17 years and was recently transferred to the Pardesipura police station.

His daughter was recently married, and his family, including his wife and children, had gone to Haryana about 10 days ago.
