Kolkata: Following Calcutta High Court’s permission Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday held a rally at Baruipur in South 24 parganas where he was shown black flag on March 19 while he was protesting against Assembly Speaker Biman Bandhopadhyay.
Addressing the gathering, Adhikari reminded Newton’s law of equal and opposite reactions.
“Former Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee used to say we are 235. Trinamool Congress (TMC) didn’t even reach 235. So why are you so arrogant? Everyone thought no one can remove Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav. Their days are gone. Newton’s third law states every action has an equal and opposite reaction,” said Adhikari.

Notably, after Adhikari had defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) he has been termed as ‘Gaddar’ by the ruling TMC, countering this Adhikari said, “The biggest gaddar ‘Traitor’ is Mamata Banerjee. When she was hospitalized, Rajiv Gandhi made her the youth wing head. She betrayed Rajivji. In 1998, Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee gave her shelter, later she even betrayed Atalji. She had betrayed everyone.”
Earlier, on this day Adhikari also visited Thakur Bari of Matuas at Bongaon.
