The incident occurred in Sankrail area of ​​Howrah district, where the woman struggling with financial difficulties convinced her husband over several months to undergo a medical procedure. She assured him that it was necessary for health reasons, but in reality, she had planned to sell his kidney. After successfully selling the kidney for ₹10 lakh, she brought the money home, telling her husband that she would deposit it in the bank.
