Siddharthnagar: A pharmaceutical businessman and his wife were found dead in their Siddharthnagar home early Tuesday, their throats slit with a surgical blade in a scene drenched with blood. Mohan Agrawal and Anju Agrawal (55) were discovered by their elder son Rahul, who lived in the adjacent flat.

At 5 AM, Rahul noticed his parents’ door ajar and entered to find his father’s body in the veranda and his mother’s on the bed, both with fatal neck wounds. Police recovered a suicide note referencing "crushing debt," but Rahul disputed the claim: "My father was stressed, but he’d never do this."

Forensic teams sealed the apartment and sent the note for handwriting analysis. CO Shohratgarh called it "suicide," citing the blade and note, which bore both victims’ signatures.

The Agrawals ran a wholesale medical store, with their younger son based in Gorakhpur. Investigation into the deaths of Mohan and Anju Agrawal is ongoing, with authorities examining the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

The discovery of a suicide note has added complexity to the case, but the family's insistence that the couple would not have taken their own lives raises questions about the possibility of foul play. As the forensic analysis continues, the community remains shocked and saddened by the loss of the respected business couple.
