Uttar Pradesh News: Lokpal Uncovers Irregularities In MGNREGA Works During Pratapgarh Inspection

Pratapgarh: MGNREGA Lokpal Samaj Shekhar conducted on-site verification of complaints in Kalakankar block, inspecting works in Atrauliya and Vadera villages.

At Atrauliya, a complaint by Rajesh Kumar alleged use of old bricks in road construction and irregularities in MGNREGA projects. The Lokpal found 50 laborers working at the pond site and confirmed regular employment through direct interaction.

At a school boundary wall, about 1,500 old bricks were found used in the foundation, as admitted by the mason. The Lokpal ordered recovery of the brick cost and a show-cause notice for project delay.
