Terrifying VIDEO: UP Man Ties Dog To Scooter & Drags It In Jhansi; Claims Animal Was Dead

A disturbing CCTV clip circulating on social media shows a man dragging a dog tied to his scooter with a rope. The incident reportedly occurred on July 5, in Nawababad area of Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi district, with the animal being dragged approximately one kilometre.
The 19-second viral video depicts the man having tied the dog's hind legs together and attaching the rope to his scooter's rear. As he drives at high speed, the helpless animal can be heard whimpering in pain while being dragged mercilessly along the road. The dog succumbed to its injuries shortly after the incident, sparking widespread outrage among local residents demanding strict action against the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, Bajrang Chowki in-charge Santprakash Tripathi stated that their investigation revealed the dog was already dead when tied to the scooter. "The individual, who is physically disabled, claims he was simply removing the carcass for disposal as no one came forward to help," Tripathi explained.

Despite this explanation, a local animal welfare organisation has filed a formal complaint at Nawabad police station. Police have taken the accused into custody and conducted a post-mortem examination. Station in-charge Santosh Awasthi confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, while veterinarian Dr Satyendra Singh stated the post-mortem report would be submitted shortly.
