Nilgiris: A shocking incident surfaced from Tamil Nadu's Nilgiris District, where a patient fell from a moving ambulance. It raised serious concerns about the safety of patients and the standards of the ambulance facilities in the state. The incident, which took place last week, was recorded on CCTV and its video is doing rounds on social media.
The video shows a patient falling out of a moving ambulance while crossing a speed bump. The incident took place near Coonoor's level crossing area, reported News9 Live.
As per the report, the ailing patient was being transported from Coonoor Ottupattara to Coonoor Government Lali Hospital when the incident took place. In the video, it could be seen that as the ambulance passed over a speed breaker, the rear door opened and the stretcher on which the patient was lying rolled onto the road.
People present on the road immediately rushed to save the patient. They alerted the driver of the ambulance and helped him in reloading the patient in the vehicle. The patient reportedly did not receive any injuries in the incident.
