RG Kar Rape & Murder Case: Silent Rally Taken Out In Kolkata Demanding Justice For Victim On Her Birthday
Victim’s parents who too joined the protest rally told the media that they are ‘grateful’ that people have answered their call of silent protest rally.

Kolkata: Silent protest rally on birthday of RG Kar rape and murder victim took place on Sunday from College Square to RG Medical College and Hospital.
Both senior, junior doctors along with other common people from all walks of life cutting across political affiliations took part in the rally demanding ‘Justice’ for the victim.
Victim’s parents who too joined the protest rally told the media that they are ‘grateful’ that people have answered their call of silent protest rally.
“Forget justice, the investigation is also not complete. We will fight till the end. We wanted the protest rally today as it's my daughter’s birthday and also six months have passed since the incident took place and heavyweights who are involved in the crime are still free. We met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and after seeing all the papers assured of all help,” said the victim’s parents.
Incidentally, clashes took place between the doctors and police after police along with CISF stopped them from entering the hospital premises.
Later, a few doctors entered the premises to mark the day.

Earlier this day, the West Bengal Junior Doctors Front organized a health camp under the ‘Abhaya Clinic’ near the victim’s house and treated several hundreds of patients and also gave them medicines. The victim’s parents also visited the camps.
