Rajasthan: 5 Members Of Same Family Charred To Death After Cylinder Catches Fire In Jaipur

In a shocking incident, a couple andtheir three children were burnt to death when a cylinder caught fire while cooking in Jaipur on Thursday morning. According to the police, the cylinder and stove were kept at the gate of the room, hence no one could come out.

CM Bhajan Lal Sharma wrote on X, ''The news of the untimely death of 5 citizens due to the massive fire in Vishwakarma, Jaipur is heart-breaking. I pray to the Almighty God to give place to the departed souls in his lotus feet and give strength to the family members to bear this lightning strike and for the speedy recovery of the injured. Instructions have also been given to provide proper treatment facilities to the injured.''

Police Explains The Timeline Of The Incident

According to the police, the cylinder and stove were kept at the gate of the room, hence no one could come out.

The incident took place at Jaisalya village of Vishwakarma area in Jaipur at around 7.30 in the morning.

ACP Ashok Chauhan said that as soon as information was received, the police team reached the spot. A cylinder was found burning in the house and the gate of the room was blocked.

With the help of the fire brigade, the fire was controlled and the burnt bodies were taken out.

Deceased In The Case Identified

The deceased have been identified as Rajesh (26), his wife Ruby (24), Ishu (7), Dilkhush (2) and Khushmani (4).  The family was from Motihari (Bihar) and was living here in a rented accommodation in a slum. Rajesh was working in a factory in Jaipur and had gone to Bihar with his family on leave. The family came back to Jaipur only Wednesday evening and became the victim of the accident on Thursday morning.
