Mithun Chakraborty Slams West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee For Spreading False Narrative On Bengali Harassment (VIDEO)

Kolkata: Veteran actors and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mithun Chakraborty on Thursday had slammed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for allegedly spreading false narrative over harassment of Bengalis.

On a four days tour to Kolkata, Mithun said that the Chief Minister is trying to ‘instigate’ people.

“Bengalis are not being harassed in any BJP ruled states. It is a completely false narrative. I am a Bengali from West Bengal and son of this land. Mamata Banerjee is spreading false narratives to instigate people which she had always done,” said the actor-turned-politician.

Mithun also mentioned that the names of ‘infiltrators’ are only being deleted.

“I have built a hotel in Bengaluru and most of the migrant workers were Bengalis and not Bangladeshis. Mamata Banerjee’s claim that the Election Commission is working at the behest of the BJP is also false. No genuine voters names are being deleted from the voter list but only infiltrators names are being deleted. If such names are deleted then the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not get even 70 seats that’s why they are afraid,” further added Mithun Chakraborty.

The actor-turned-politician also claimed that the highest number of illegal infiltrators who have managed to get their names enrolled in the voters’ list happens to be in West Bengal.

Notably, since beginning TMC has been opposing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) by ECI and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that TMC will start ‘Bhasha Andolan’ if such a thing happens in Bengal.

Slamming the ace actor Mithun Chakraborty, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh called him ‘traitor’.

“Mithun Chakraborty is a traitor and has sold his spinal card towards the saffron camp,” said Ghosh.
