Tiruvallur: A massive fire broke out at a scrap iron storage warehouse in Tamil Nadu on Friday. The blaze erupted in Gummidipoondi SIPCOT Industrial Estate in Tiruvallur district.
After receiving information, the fire tenders reached the spot. Senior officials also rushed to the place where the blaze erupted.
A firefighting operation is currently underway. The reason for the fire is not yet known. In the dramatic visuals surfaced online, an envelope of black smoke could be seen engulfing the area.
There are no reports of any injuries due to the blaze. The amount of collateral damage is yet to be ascertained.
