Kolkata Parade Incident: 39 Students Hospitalised After Falling Ill In Humid Weather During Independence Day Event
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after visiting the sick students in the hospital stated that all are stable.

Kolkata: At least 39 students fell sick on Friday during Independence Day parade in Kolkata.
The students were immediately rushed to the state run SSKM hospital for treatment.

“After sudden rain the weather was hot and humid. The students were given breakfast but they felt dehydrated. When there is any big event like this then the students’ panics, this can also be another reason for the fainting. The student’s when they see their friend fainting, they also fall sick. I have met all of them and they are doing well now. One of the Fatima Sekhawat was slightly more unwell, but she is also doing better now,” said Mamata at SSKM.
