IATA’s 81st AGM And World Air Transport Summit To Be Hosted In India After 42 Years; PM Modi To Address Global Aviation Delegates
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) will host its 81st annual general meeting (AGM) and the World Air Transport Summit (WATS) in India after 42 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a keynote address at the summit, to be held in New Delhi from June 1 to 3, which will see the gathering of the global aviation leaders.

Mumbai: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) will host its 81st annual general meeting (AGM) and the World Air Transport Summit (WATS) in India after 42 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a keynote address at the summit, to be held in New Delhi from June 1 to 3, which will see the gathering of the global aviation leaders.
IATA is an aviation association that represents around 350 airlines comprising over 80% of the global air traffic. The association’s AGM is one of the most sought after meetings in the global aviation sector, which is also followed by WATS. The summit will address key issues facing the aviation industry.

This year’s IATA AGM and WATS are scheduled to be held from June 1 to 3 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This event was last held in India in 1983. Around 1,700 participants are registered to attend, including industry leaders, government officials and media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a keynote address on the second day of the gathering.
