Chandigarh: Mobile internet service was restored in Nuh district of Haryana on Monday , two weeks after it was suspended following communal clashes that claimed six lives and led to massive damage to public and private properties.
Meanwhile, the curfew was also relaxed further for 14 hours – from 6 am to 8 pm since Sunday, though it was steadily relaxed earlier for a few hours last week.
The mobile internet services had remained suspended since July 31 last till August 8 though the suspension was subsequently extended till August 13.
However, heavy police bandobast still continued with an aim to avert any untoward incidents and the prohibitory orders against assembly of four or more persons were still in force there under Section 144 CrPC.
