Delhi Assembly Election 2025: BJP Is Funding Congress Candidates, Claims Delhi CM Atishi

Ahead of Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday accused the Congress party of working in connivance with BJP to defeat the ruling party.

Launching an all-out attack against Congress leader Ajay Maken, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi during a press conference said that till date no Congress leader has ever filed a 'sedition' case against any BJP leader.

"Congress leaders have filed cases against me and Kejriwal but never took action against BJP leaders," she said.

“Congress’ actions have made it evident that it has joined hands with BJP for the Delhi elections. Yesterday, senior Congress leader Ajay Maken said that Kejriwal is anti-national. Did they raise any such voice against any BJP leader? No, but they are doing that with AAP. Yesterday, the (Youth) Congress party filed an FIR against Arvind Kejriwal and me. Third thing, we have come to know from official sources that the BJP is funding Congress candidates including Sandeep Dixit," she said.

In a massive allegation against the Congress party, Atishi claimed that BJP is funding Congress candidates for Delhi Assembly elections.

She demanded Congress leadership take action against Ajay Maken and other Youth Congress leaders.

The AAP Rajya Sabha MP, who was sitting beside the Delhi CM, alleged that Ajay Maken reads the script sent by BJP and targets AAP leaders.

Giving an ultimatum to the Congress high command, he said if Congress leadership doesn't take action against Maken, then they will approach other parties of the INDIA bloc and demand removal of Congress party from the alliance.
