New Delhi: An armed miscreant looted Rs. 80 lakh from a businessman from Lahori Gate area in broad daylight in Delhi. The incident took place at Haveli Haider Kuli in the Chandni Chowk area of Delhi. The incident was recorded on CCTV installed in the area and soon the video went viral on social media.
In the video, it could be seen that the businessman walking on a busy street and suddenly the miscreant came from behind. He pointed a gun at the businessman and snatched the bag with Rs 80 lakh in it. After snatching the bag, the armed robber fled from the spot.

The footage shows bystanders just kept watching the crime and no one came forward to help the businessman. The victim is reported to be a hawala trader. Panic gripped local shopkeepers after the incident.

After receiving the information, the police swung into action. An investigation has been launched into the matter. Cops are scanning the CCTV footage to identify the suspect.
Last year in September, three armed robbers targeted a shop at New Seelampur Market in northeast Delhi, looting Rs12,000 in cash at gunpoint. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the shop. According to local reports, the robbers struck Bikaner Sweets, where they looted approximately Rs 12,000 and damaged the equipment. When the owner of a nearby hotel tried to intervene, he was hit on the head with the butt of a pistol by one of the attackers.
