CID Busts Adult Video Rackets In Andhra Pradesh & Bengaluru; 3 Arrested For Live Streaming Obscene Content

Gantur: In a crackdown on cyber exploitation, Andhra Pradesh’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) unearthed two separate rackets allegedly involved in coercing women into producing adult content, which was then streamed on banned porn platforms.

The accused reportedly lured women under the pretext of job offers and emotional support before blackmailing them into filming explicit content.

Fake Call Centre Used to Trap Job Seekers

According to a report by ETV Bharat, IG AK Ravikrishna, who oversees cybercrime in the state, said that one of the prime accused, identified as Louis from Guntakal, had set up a bogus call centre to target women and girls looking for employment.

Gaining their trust through luxury outings, money, and emotional manipulation, Louis allegedly persuaded them to record adult videos by promising lucrative returns. The women, many of whom were financially vulnerable, were later coerced into continuing the activity through threats and blackmail.

Adult Content Streamed for Crypto Earnings

A similar modus operandi was followed in Bengaluru by Ganesh and Jyotsana, both hailing from Srikakulam district. The duo allegedly rented a property in Bengaluru and convinced vulnerable women to participate in adult content creation by offering them financial help.

The CID reported that when women refused, the accused would resort to blackmail by showing edited photos or threatening to send intimate clips to their families. The content was then streamed live on banned adult platforms, generating revenue through cryptocurrency.

The CID has arrested all three accused – Louis from Guntakal, and Ganesh and Jyotsana from Bengaluru, and is currently investigating to identify more people linked to the racket.
