Chhattisgarh: Govt Registers Complaint Against 27 IAS Officers For Corruption, Misuse Of Power, And Financial Irregularities
The information got highlighted when former BJP Minister Rajesh Munat asked the Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in writing to answer cases registered against the top bureaucrats in the period of 2019-24.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh government has registered a complaint against 27 IAS officers for misuse of power, malpractice, and corruption from 2019 to 2024. This list includes senior officers:
- IAS Rajesh S. Toppo, former CEO (Samvad), accused of executing Rs 75.74 lakh worth of work without tender and of financial mismanagement.
- IAS Sanjay Alang, former MD of the Textbook Corporation, accused of financial irregularities and misuse of power.
- IAS Ranu Sahu, former District Collector of Korba, accused of misappropriating funds, resulting in an Rs 8 crore loss to the exchequer, extortion, and holding disproportionate assets.
- IAS Sameer Bishnoi, former Director of the Mining Directorate, accused of conspiracy and defrauding the exchequer, also holding disproportionate assets.
- IAS Dr. Alok Shukla, former Principal Secretary of School Education, accused of misuse of power for illegal monetary gain and coercing witnesses in an EOW case.
- IAS Dr. Anil Tuteja, former Jt. Secretary of Commerce and Industry, accused of misuse of power, illegal monetary gains, witness coercion, involvement in a Rs 100 crore corruption case, and a multi-crore liquor scam.
- IAS Vivek Dhandh, former Chairman of RERA, accused of government land encroachment, issuing fake pattas, and illegal acquisition of government land.
- IAS Niranjan Das, Excise Commissioner, accused of a liquor scam, illegal earnings worth crores, and holding disproportionate assets.
- IAS Kuldeep Sharma, former CEO of Jahspur Zila Panchayat, accused of misuse of power.
- IAS Surendra Kumar Jaiswal, former Director of Thakur Pyarelal Panchayat and Gramin Vikash Sansthan, accused of purchasing flats worth crores without government permission.
- IAS Gaurav Diwedi, former Principal Secretary, accused of misappropriating funds in the Samagra Siksha project.
- IAS Narendra Dugga and IAS Ashok Agarwal, both accused of misappropriating funds through submission of fake bills in the Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan, each involving crores and others.
