Chennai: The city woke up at 05: 52 AM and the sun is likely to set at 6:23 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Tamil Nadu's capital city is set to experience soaring temperatures and humid weather today. Today, the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 28 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Ceslius respectively. The humidity is expected to be around 77 per cent and the wind is expected to blow steadily from South at 18 km/h.
Rainfall is predicted in these regions
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), various districts in Tamil Nadu are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday. The regions include Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, and Kanniyakumari districts of Tamil Nadu.
The weather department has also issued an advisory to take caution while traveling, and traffic congestion is also expected due to the rainfall in some areas. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms.
