Chaos Outside Lok Bhawan In Lucknow As BJP Councillors Denied Entry To Emergency Event
The programme was being held in the presence of Chief Minister, prompting heightened security. BJP councillors claimed they had received phone calls inviting them to the event, but were stopped at the entrance without explanation.

Tensions flared outside Lok Bhawan in Lucknow on Wednesday during a special programme on the Emergency, after several BJP councillors and party officials were denied entry despite having invitations. The situation turned chaotic as agitated party workers raised slogans outside the main gate.
The programme was being held in the presence of Chief Minister, prompting heightened security. BJP councillors claimed they had received phone calls inviting them to the event, but were stopped at the entrance without explanation.
Visuals from the scene showed party workers protesting and chanting slogans near the gate. Authorities cited a full auditorium as the reason for the delay. After nearly 30 minutes of protest, the gates were opened, and the invitees were allowed in. Senior officials, including the Lucknow Commissioner, reached the spot to manage the situation.
One councillor stated, “We were told to come at 2:30 PM and were assigned seat number 187, but still weren’t allowed inside on time.”
Police presence was increased temporarily to ensure order was maintained.
