Ghaziabad: A 24-year-old man from Loni, Ghaziabad, died by suicide late Tuesday night (May 27), allegedly after being blackmailed by his ex-girlfriend’s new acquaintances. Before taking his life, the man recorded a deeply emotional 6-minute 51-second video and left behind a three-page suicide note, naming two individuals and pleading for justice.
The deceased, identified as Pawan Gupta, a foundry worker and resident of Banthala, ended his life at an under-construction house owned by his uncle. According to a report by Aaj Tak, police revealed that Pawan was in a relationship with a nurse working in a Delhi hospital. Following their breakup, she reportedly became close to two men, Sarfaraz and Sahil, who Pawan claimed had begun blackmailing him. He also expressed a sense of helplessness as a man facing social stigma and emotional distress.

Final Plea for Justice
Addressing the suicide note to a judge, Pawan wrote, “I am Pawan Kumar… I am being blackmailed. Their names are Sarfaraz and Sahil… If there is justice in this world, I should get it. Sarfaraz should get severe punishment. If it was your son in my place, wouldn't you do justice?”
In his letter, he further appealed, “You have saved your daughter a lot, now save your sons… I know that no one listens to a boy.”
He also mentioned having made a distress call to the police helpline, “I called 112, but no one listened.”
Police Launch Probe
ACP Loni Siddharth Gautam confirmed the recovery of the suicide note and video, and told Aaj Tak, “Rakesh Kumar informed us that his son Pawan had committed suicide. A case has been registered and Sarfaraz has been arrested based on the complaint and manual inputs.”
The video and note have been taken as key evidence in the case. Police are continuing their investigation and search for the second accused, Sahil.
