Air India Urination Case: Accused Shankar Mishra gets bail after 25 days in Delhi jail
Shankar Mishra was arrested by Delhi Police from Bengaluru on January 6 after the female passenger filed a complaint for the incident which took place on November 26, 2022.

Shankar Mishra, the passenger accused of urinating on a femail flyer on board a New York-Delhi IndiGo flight last year, has got bail from the Patiala House Court.
Additional Sessions Judge Harjyot Singh Bhalla granted the relief to Mishra on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.
The metropolitan magistrate had on January 11 denied relief to Mishra, saying the act was utterly disgusting and repulsive, shocked the civic consciousness and needed to be deprecated.
Shankar Mishra was arrested by Delhi Police from Bengaluru on January 6 after he allegedly peed on a 70-year-old female passenger in an inebriated state on the flight on November 26.
The victim filed a complaint against Mishra after the matter came to light in the first week of January.
Air India changed the in-flight alcohol service policy
Air India last week announced changes to its in-flight alcohol service policy after two separate incidents of passengers peeing inside their airplanes caused an uproar in the country.
Other urination cases on Air India flights
Shankar Mishra urinated on a female passenger on November 26 on a New York-Delhi flight while another passenger peed on a woman's blanket on a flight from Paris to Delhi on December 10.
Both incidents led to fines totalling ₹40 lakh imposed on Air India by aviation regulator DGCA. A ₹30 lakh fine was imposed for the Shankar Mishra incident while ₹10 lakh fine was imposed for the Dec 10 episode.
