A fire broke out at Parishkar 1 apartments in the Khokhra area of Ahmedabad in Gujarat on Friday, officials said.
In dramatic video, thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing out of the third floor of the Parishkar 1 apartments.
Amidst the chaos and panic, a now-viral video shoed a courageous mother desperately trying to rescue her children trapped in the smoke-filled apartment. Standing on the balcony of her floor, she carefully handed her children down to residents gathered on the floor below, who had rushed to help.
The visuals show the tense moments as the children were passed to safety, with the mother and neighbours working together in an extraordinary act of bravery and presence of mind.
According to media reports, the fire broke out at 4pm on the fourth floor of Parishkar 1 apartments in the Khokhra area of Ahmedabad .
As per the officials, five fire tenders rushed to the spot to control the fire.
