Ghaziabad : A video from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has surfaced, showing heavy monsoon showers causing significant flooding in the girls’ hostel at ABES Engineering College, with water entering the ground and basement level blocks, risking the safety of female residents and creating panic among them. The incident took place on Wednesday night.

Personal Belongings Damaged
The flooding reportedly caused damage to clothing, books, documents, and other personal belongings of the students. Valuable items like laptops and mobile phones of some students have also reportedly been damaged.
Videos shared by students show their rooms filled with water, with dustbins and water bottles floating in it.
Students Demand Permanent Solution
The students and their families have reportedly demanded the college administration and the district administration to immediately intervene in the matter and find a permanent solution.
Basement Of Residential Society Collapses
On Thursday, due to incessant overnight rains, the basement of a residential society collapsed in in Ghaziabad. At the time of the incident, vehicles were parked in the basement. Multiple vehicles suffered damage in the collapse.
