In a disturbing incident in Uttarakhand, the owner of a medical store in Piran Kaliyar, Roorkee was violently attacked by a group of young men armed with sticks and clubs. The entire incident was captured on the store's CCTV cameras, which police are now thoroughly investigating.
According to reports, Asif, a resident of Muqarrabpur in Piran Kaliyar, was sitting at his medical store on Sohalpur Road on Monday evening when several youth entered the premises carrying sticks and batons. The assailants severely beat the store owner before fleeing the scene when nearby shopkeepers responded to the commotion.
Police arrived promptly after being informed about the incident and immediately transported the injured store owner to the Civil Hospital. After providing initial treatment, doctors referred him to a higher medical center due to the severity of his injuries.
SP Rural Shekhar Chand Suyal confirmed that two suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the assault, while a search is ongoing for another youth involved in the attack. Police are examining footage from CCTV cameras installed at the medical store to gather more evidence about the incident.
