Former radio jockey and Instagram influencer Simran Singh allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Gurugram, police said on Thursday (December 26). The 25-year-old influencer, who had over 600,000 followers on Instagram, passed away on Wednesday, according to officials. She was found hanging in her flat.
The incident came to light after a friend staying with her at the Gurugram home alerted the police. An investigation into the case is currently underway.

Simran was a popular face on Instagram. She used to often share funny videos on the platform. The former RJ was also known for her vibrant presence on social media. She was currently working as a freelancer, media reports have stated.
As per her Instagram bio, Simran hailed from Jammu. She was popularly known as 'Jammu Ki Dhadkan'.
At the time of publishing this news, Simran had 6,83,000 followers on Instagram. She had been quite active on the platform. However, her last post was on December 13. In the post, she shared a reel wearing a peach Indo-Western dress. The caption read, "Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach."
Fans were always all hearts for her cheerful persona.
The cause of her death is not known yet and the Gurugram police have launched an investigation into the matter.
Reportedly, Simran's house door was locked from the inside, and no suicide note was discovered, officials stated. After completing the post-mortem, Simran's body was handed over to her family. The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
