Singer Neha Kakkar received severe backlash after she arrived almost three hours late for her concert in Melbourne over the weekend, and she even broke down on stage. On Thursday, revealing the real reason behind the delay, she said, "The organisers ran away with my money...My band was not even given food, hotel and even water."

Singer Neha Kakkar was at the receiving end of severe backlash after she arrived almost three hours late for her concert in Melbourne, Australia, over the weekend, and broke down on stage. The singer has now finally spoken up on the fiasco, and revealed that the organisers left her team high and dry after fleeing with her money.
Neha took to her Instagram on Thursday to reveal the real story behind the fiasco at the concert. She said that while people blamed and targetted her, she did not say anything on stage as she did not feel it was her place to punish someone. However, she decided to end her silence now due to the hate and trolling.
"Do you all know that I performed absolutely Free for my Melbourne audience? The organisers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel and even water. My husband and his boys went and provided them food," she claimed in her post.
She went on to say, "In spite of all this, we still went on stage and did the show without any rest or anything bcz there my fans were waiting for hrs for me (sic)."
Neha further shared, "Do you know our sound check got delayed by hrs coz the sound vendor was not paid and he refused to put the sound on. And when after so much of delay our sound check started, I could not reach the venue, couldn't do the sound check, we did not even know if the concert is happening coz the organisers stopped picking my manager's calls coz apparently they were running away from the sponsors n everyone. Though there's still a lot to share but I guess this is enough (sic)."
Neha then thanked the people who defended her despite the delay and controversy. "I want to Thank all those people who spoke so beautifully for me, as if all this happened to them personally. I really appreciate all the efforts they all took to clarify my situation. I'm always gonna be thankful to all of them who attended my concert that day and cried with me and even danced their hearts out (sic)," she concluded.
