Udit Narayan Breaks Silence After His Residential Building In Andheri Catches Fire: 'It Was Difficult...'
On Monday, a fire broke out on the 11th floor of Wing B at Udit Narayan's Skypan Apartments in Andheri West. The singer, residing on the 9th floor of Wing A, confirmed his safety. His 75-year-old neighbour, Rahul Mishra, tragically passed away from asphyxiation. Udit described the night as "difficult," with alarms causing residents to remain downstairs for 4-5 hours.

On Monday night, a fire broke out at singer Udit Narayan's Skypan Apartments in Shastri Nagar, Andheri West, on the 11th floor of Wing B, while the singer resides on the 9th floor of wing A. His 75-year-old neighbour, Rahul Mishra, who lived on the 11th floor of wing B, tragically passed away due to asphyxiation after being rushed to Kokilaben Hospital.
Now, Udit Narayan has broken his silence regarding the fire incident. Speaking to India Today, he assured that he is safe. "It was a difficult night," he said. Reportedly, Udit's building’s alarms went off, and residents were instructed to stay downstairs for about 4-5 hours.

Residents also experienced a power outage as a precautionary measure to prevent further damage.
A bystander at the scene suggested that the fire may have been caused by a diya, whose flame reportedly spread to nearby curtains. According to reports, Rahul's wife ran downstairs, screaming for help, prompting the watchmen to rush up to the flat. However, by the time they arrived, it was too late.
A few days ago, Shaan and his family narrowly escaped a fire that broke out at their residential building, Fortune Enclave, in Bandra. Later, he took to his Instagram to share details of the incident and confirmed that everyone in his family is safe.
Taking to his Instagram Story, Shaan, whose real name is Shantanu Mukherjee, shared how he and his family escaped the dangerous situation and wrote, "Dear All, as the news spreads about the fire in our building, just to let you all know that we are safe. The fire was on the 7th floor; we live on higher floors. We managed to escape to the 15th floor and waited to be rescued. To cut a long horrible story short, we are absolutely fine, waiting to go back home once there is a clearer picture from the fire department."
